Relief Prints, colored w/ watercolor and markerI gave away all of my favorite ones thinking I could just make more when I got home after graduation. Handmade Book 10x 5"I did a handmade book to display different bodies types and to re-enforce that confidence is beautiful. This is as far as Ive gotten. It's still not done,but I needed to pack. There are a few things that are bugging me, like the arm, the flow of the body, and I still have the bottom half of the piece to work on. But, Ive run out time to work on it here in France. Christmas card done in Photoshop. I used flat textures, shaded them, and manipulated the colors. Once done in Photoshop, I took it to Painter to add the snow using a customized chalk pastel brush which help bring it all together. I wanted to try to get the likeness of people, but also use different media in new ways, in different combos, and on types of paper I would never try otherwise. Relief printing. Interesting and fun. Once again Wikipedia does it better explaining.I had to do at least 5 identical 12x12 print with at least 5 different colors not including the white of the paper. It's always an experience trying to make identical pieces. The difficult part of this project was thinking backwards with each inking. Also lining up all the different printed color.

My 14 page handmade accordion book I did for Printmaking I. I did the story Baba Yaga. Its was my first time doing monotypes. I liked how the watercolor moved across the surface of the mylar, but when transfering the image into the paper I could never guess how much of the image would transfer.
